Winslow, Illinois has one of the most beautiful small parks that I've ever seen. There was a reason for calling it Paradise Cove Park. This covered bridge to cross the creek is not the only unique thing in this 1 acre park. There is a man made 15' waterfall that tumbles down a natural rock face into a pool of clear water. The source for the water is an artesian well, which brought us here to begin with. There is a spigot where you can fill all the bottles that you want. The artesian well is the communities water supply, which is tested regularly. Don't forget to get pictures to claim a visit to the artesian well waymark also. A gazibo with benches and a landscaped flower garden fills out the beauty here. For those who seek wilder terrain, follow the foot path back into the woods. There's a geocache container hidden there somewhere that's not to hard to find. A decorative water wheel that uses excess water from the well has been removed for repairs. It may be back this summer.
