[DE] Sinn wuchs 1870 durch die Industrialisierung rasch an. Die 1631 erbaute Kapelle – die heutige Mahnmalkapelle – wurde zu klein. Es musste eine größere Kirche her. Das neue Gotteshaus entstand direkt neben der Fachwerkkapelle.
Den Grundstock für den Neugotischen Bau aus Stein bildeten einige Industrielle wie die Ofenbauer Haas und Sohn oder die Glockengießer Rincker und auch viele Bürger spendeten für die neue Kirche.
Das Gotteshaus konnte dann sehr schnell von 1900 bis 1901 nach Entwürfen des Architekten Ludwig Hofmann erbaut werden.
[EN] Around 1870 Sinn grew rapidly through industrialization. The old chapel which was built in 1631 - today's Memorial Chapel - became too small. A larger church was needed. A new church was then built next to the chapel.
Some rich industrialists and many citizens of Sinn donated for the new church. A Neo-Gothic stone building could then be built very quickly from 1900 to 1901 to designs by the architect Ludwig Hofmann.
