Marion County Quonset Hut - Salem, Oregon - Quonset Huts on Waymarking.com

This very new-looking Quonset hut is located on Marion County property south of the Juvenile Department. The hut was placed here within the last 12 months as it is missing from aerial photographs dating to March 2012. The hut is in use, apparently for storage.

The hut measures approximately 50 feet long by 30 feet wide. It contains a garage door and a regular entry door at the east end. There is a light above the garage door. Other than what appears to be a vent near the top of the west end, there are no other openings in any of the walls.

Note: Coordinates are actually from the Park Avenue side by the State Hospital, immediately west of the hut. This seemed to be a better vantage point in an area where the general public is allowed.
