This older indoor mall struggled for years with declining attendance and vacant stores. Mall olwners have recently poured millions into a complete renovation and expansion which has totally turned around the fortunes of the mall and attracted many shoppers back to this location. The increased mall traffic is partially responsible for a complete makeover of an adjacent freeway interchange. The recent opening of the Utah Transit Authority TRAX station at the southwest end of the Green Line, directly across the street from the mall, has also been helpful in increasing the number of shoppers.
