I recovered this National Geodetic Survey Vertical Control Mark from 1993 in good condition. It is a RESET benchmark from an original benchmark that was destroyed when the nearby railroad overpass was rebuilt in 1993. There is an orange carsonite witness post about two feet north of the station. The station is monumented in a round concrete post and flush with the surface. The NGS datasheet info is adequate for station recovery and my posted coordinates will place you very close to this station.

NGS datasheet info:

01/01/1993 by NGS (MONUMENTED)
DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1993 (LLR) THE MARK IS LOCATED ABOUT 5.1 MILES (8.2 KM) SOUTH ALONG THE SOURTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY RAILROAD FROM THE STATION AT KLAMATH FALLS, AT U.S. HIGHWAY 97 OVERPASS. IT IS SET INTO A CONCRETE MONUMENT THAT IS 0.5 METER (1.6 FT) IN DIAMETER FLUSH WITH THE GROUND. IT IS 15.9 METERS (52.2 FT) WNW OF WEST RAIL OF THE TRACK, 3.8 METERS (12.5 FT) NNE OF A JOG IN THE FENCE, 3.0 METERS (9.8 FT) SOUTH OF POWER POLE 11/39, 1.1 METERS (3.6 FT) EAST OF A FENCE AND 0.9 METER (3.0 FT) SW OF A WITNESS POST.
