This is as close to the heart of Methodism as one can get. The house where John Wesley lived and died, the chapel he had built and where he preached and is buried, and a modern history museum, all located together.

For those interested in the history of Methodism, or its impact on the history of Great Britain, there is a great deal to learn here.

The chapel is still and active house of worship but is filled with memorials, stained glass windows, some original furnishings including the pulpit from which Wesley preached.

The sense of history is strong as one tours this house where John Wesley lived, worked, studied, wrote, prayed and died. For years afterward it was the home to pastors of the chapel and guest house for visitors.

The footprint of the house is small, but it rises for four floors, and has a view of the Chapel and over Bunsfield Burial Ground where John's mother, Susanna Wesley, is buried.

On display are original furniture, books, and other artifacts own by John Wesley with interpretive information along the way

The more modern Museum of Methodism has even more artifacts and documents, from the long time-line of the rise of Methodism in England and its spread around the world.
