This marker in Woodruff Place commemorates its stature as one of the greatest neighborhoods in the city. In its early days it was actually a city separate from Indianapolis, designed with 3 wide esplanade drives adorned with fountains, urns and statues. One of the most desirable inner-city living spots today.
