Sweigart's Mill is located along the Beaver Creek near its junction with the Conewago Creek near the community of East Berlin.
This two and one half story structure measures 45 ft 6 in by 40 ft 8 in, and appears to have originally been stuccoed. The current owner, East Berlin Historic Preservation Society has restored the structure.
In 1890, a Rechard turbine was installed by William B. Feiser, a millwright of that period, replacing the original wooden overshot wheel.
The mill ground feed, cornmeal and flour, and continued its operation until 1920. At that time its equipment and machinery was scrapped and the mill was left to deteriorate.
