At the corner of E. Dewey and S. Water in downtown Sapulpa, the town has set aside a small memorial park to honor Martha Meis Aaron, an extraordinary pioneer citizen of this proud Oklahoma community. Named for Chief Sapulpa, a Lower Creek Indian chief who first settled this area, a post office was established here in 1889, and the town was chartered in 1898. In 1998, to celebrate the town's 100th anniversary, residents and businesses within the community provided for the construction of this lovely park. Donated pavers along its walkways tell of their dedication.

Named for Martha Meis Aaron, this park honors the pioneering spirit of its early residents, who gave of their time and energy and resources, to build communities in the Oklahoma Territory.
