This sundial will be giving fairly accurate time on rare sunny days until the year 2100.

In commemoration of their 150 anniversary in 2000, the Oregon Christian Convention planted a time capsule, to be opened in 2100. And atop the capsule they placed a pedestal with a sundial. This sundial is aligned for daylight saving time, as there is no chance that it will be useful in Oregon during the winter. The sundial is prominently located near the southwest corner of the church, in a small garden.
