Several of Jorge Zeno's delightful signature fantasy animal sculptures are located in this park in a busy area of Old San Juan. In this 4' long by 3' high bronze sculpture Jorge Zeno uses the form of an ark as the base for his fantasy creation.
The lower part is recognizable as an ark and is adorned with fish, birds, and curvy lines. The superstructure, however, is a double faced fantasy character looking somewhat like an owl wearing a top hat. A large plump penguin looks ahead from the bow. He is wearing a top hat, bow-tie, and a buttoned shirt. The stern contains three smaller birds, two are clearly penguin like and the middle figure is a misshapen for a penguin. The back of the boat has the words La Nave. The sculpture faces the Cathedral and rests on a three piece polished black marble base. The three pieces are sloped and are arranged to form a wave.
A bronze plaque on the north side of the base is inscribed in Spanish:
