Support towert of Port of Barcelona cable car. This cable car connects Miramar's zone in Montjuïc's mountain, with the Tower of Jaume I, next to World Trade Center in the middle of the Port Vell and with Sant Sebastià's Tower, placed in limit of the port, touching the beach. Good part of the tour is realized on the waters of the port.
The air ferryboat was projected in 1926 by Carlos Buigas, Ramon Calzada and Jose Rodríguez Rodá and inaugurated in 1931, after the International exhibition of Barcelona in 1929. The ferryboat, beside being raised as a tourist transport by exceptional panoramic views of the port and the city, appeared in order to connect one of the principal beaches of the city - Beach of San Sebastian - and the baths of San Sebastian, with Miramar's Casino in Montjuïc and with the whole enclosure of what was the International Exhibition.
The tower of Jaume I, with 102 meters of height, is the second cable car air prop support more high place of the world, after one of the props of Kaprun's Gletscherbahn Kaprun III (Austria), which 113,6 m.
