The McDonald's in Wellsford is in a little food court that also has stands for fish and chips, pies and coffee.
It was a busy place when we visited - the Friday afternoon of a summer weekend with a lot of traffic heading from Auckland to the baches of Northland. Glad we were going south.
Some different items on the New Zealand menu compared to the Canadian menu we are used to seeing including the Kiwi Range burgers, different flavours of shakes and the Scorcher Peri Peri chicken burger which I found nice a tasty with a bit of heat.
