The faded letters on the brick Androy Hotel alludes to the upper class of this once fine establishment. The historical Androy Hotel was built in 1919 and was known to have one of the town’s most elegant supper clubs. It was often called “the Queen of the Iron Range” and thrived during the economic surge of the mining era. During the recession in the 1970’s, however, the hotel suffered and closed its business in 1978.
