The Ute Theatre dates back to at least 1940, and it retained that name until at least 1950. Later it was known as the Rifle Creek Theatre.

In 2009, renovations began, and in early-2012, it has become the New Ute Events Center, hosting special events, as well as movies. Renovations continue and completion is planned for late-2012 or early-2013.

The theater has one screen and 600 seats.
