This Cemetery is located at the north end of Clubhouse Drive after it branches off of Castle Valley Blvd northeast of New Castle, Colorado.

The area surrounding the cemetery has been developed and a new access road created which also leads to the golf course clubhouse. The previous access road to the cemetery is now a cart path for the golf course.
The official date for the creation of the cemetery is 1888 when New Castle was known as Grand Buttes. There are approximately 1850 people interred here.
