I was suprised to find this anchor displayed in the area between the National Oregon/California Trail Center and Stock Park. The National Oregon/California Trail Center is a unique venue dedicated to education about the Oregon and California Trails. Stock Park is the major city park in Montpelier, Idaho. While Bear Lake is relatively nearby, I don't believe this achor was ever used at the lake. There just aren't boats that big on the lake. There is no information, no signage, or anything, that states where it is from, who put it there, or why it is here. But it is cool!
