It is sometimes called 'Schutzmantelmaria' (Maria with a protective jacket).
The sculpture was a donation by Julis Bauser. It was created by Hubert Bernhard.
The height of the sculpture itself is about 1.5 meters.
The stone stele's height is about 3 meters.
There's an inscription:
Rose ohne Dorne bitte für uns Maria
(Rose without mandrels pray for us Maria)
