První pruzkumný vrt byl v techto místech vyhlouben na základe prirozených výronu plynu a ropy ve starém toku reky Moravy, zvaném Salajka, u hospodárského dvora Nesyt, již v roce 1900.
Prestože byly vrtem overeny naftové indicie, vrt nazachytil žádné težitelné akumulace uhlovodíku a vrtání bylo v hl. 217 m ukonceno.
Teprve roku 1919 zde bylo nalezeno první prumyslove težitelné ložisko ropy v Ceské republice. Pruzkumný vrt, otevírající toto nové nalezište dosáhl hloubky 338 m a byla jím navrtána v hl. 237 m nafta tzv. gbelského horizontu (sarmatská) a níže v hl. 313-338 m bylo zachyceno težitelné naftové ložisko z vrstev sv. badenu. Vzápetí byla Moravské težební spolecnosti udelena propujcka 1. dulního pole s názvem Karel, která v dobe mezi válkami z tohoto pole težila.
Vrtná cinnost pokracovala až do pocátku 60. let minulého století (1919 – 1955). Na ložisku bylo vyhloubeno v prubehu casu cca 870 vrtu, cást z nich mela pruzkumný úcel, vetší cást byla využívána jako težební sondy. Nalezište Hodonín se nachází ve vídenské pánvi, cásti hodonínsko gbelské hráste v tesné blízkosti mesta Hodonín. Hlavní cásti ložiskové struktury Hodonín se rozprostírají kolem reky Moravy v jižním smeru.
Ložisko je soucástí nalezište, kde se z hloubky 150 až 450 m težila ropa z více jak 20 tretihorních píscitých obzoru. Byla zde težká naftenická (parafinická) ropa - petrolej - olejového charakteru s prevahou mazacích oleju s mernou hmotností cca 0,934 kg/l.
Puvodní zásoby ropy byly 560 840 t a zemního plynu 1 195 000 m3. Do roku 1997 bylo vyteženo cca 333 000 t ropy. Težba byla ukoncena z duvodu poklesu produkce a potenciálního ohrožení životního prostredí v okolí reky Moravy.
Ložisko Nesyt se nachází na dne starého rybníka Nesytý, zmeneného v ornou pudu za dob Marie Terezie.

The first explorational well was put down on the basis of flows of gas and oil in the abandoned channel of river Morava called Salajka near farmyard Nesyt already in the year 1900. The borehole discovered oil indications but didn’t find any profitable accumulation of hydrocarbons and drilling was stopped in the depth of 217 m.
As lately as in the year 1919, the first industrial profitable oil deposit in Czech republic was found here. The explorational well opening this field achieved the depth of 338 m. In the depth of 237 m there was found oil from sarmatian horizons so-called gbely horizons and below in the depth of 313-338 m was found profitable accumulation from uper badenian. Subsequently the first working field with the title Karel was lent to Moravian exploitation company which worked here in the time between two world wars.
Drilling activity went on until 60s of the last century (1919-1955). During the time there were drilled over 870 boreholes on this field. Part of them had explorational purpose but the bigger part was used as production wells. Oil and gas field Hodonín is situated in Vienna basin, part of Hodonín-gbely horst near the city Hodonín. The main parts of oil and gas deposit are along the river channel in south direction.
The oil was recovered from more than 20 tertiary sands horizons from depth of 150 to 450 m. There was recovered heavy naphtenes-paraffin base oil with density of 0,934 kg/l.
Original reserves of oil were 560 840 t and of natural gas 1 195 000 m3. Till 1997 it was exploited c. 333 000 t of oil. The explotation was closed by reason of production fall and possible risk of environment along the river Morava.
Oil and gas deposit Nesyt is situated on the bottom of the old pond Nesytý, which was changed to arable land in the time of Maria Teresia reign in 16. century.
