This is a Grade II listed War Memorial built c.1921 and designed by F.L.Roslyn, a sculptor from London. It is built of Portland stone and surmounted by a bronze statue. The plinth is square, on two low steps, with an ogee chamfered top edge leading into a tall square block on which is the following inscription on the north face:-
                         IN MEMORY OF

                          WHO FELL IN
                         THE GREAT WAR
                           1914-1918

..on the lower plinth.

This leads up to a smaller stepped plinth on a deep coved step on which is the statue. It is of a woman in classical dress holding a wreath in her right hand and in the palm of her left hand, a small angel holding a wreath aloft.
