Jamie McGregor is a frustrated sixth former with a part time job delivering groceries. He preoccupies with catching up with his mates conquests of the opposite sex.
His first date is with “runny old Linda”, but only ends up cold in the park. He next tries Paula, whom he meets at the local church dance. He only manages a kiss when the lights fuse at the dance.
He gets an invitation to a weekend party at the Beauchamp’s house, courtesy of Caroline, but drink gets the better of the occasion. Finally he meets Mary, the girl of his dreams, but Mary is too advanced and liberated for Jamie.
