Shellbrook is a nice sized town about 40 km. west of Prince Albert on Highway 3. It seems to be a town unlikely to die in the near future.

Built in 1950 by the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, this is the oldest and the smallest of Shellbrook's three elevators. Lacking an annex, it is now closed for the duration. It is not known when it last received grain commercially. Now in private hands, it may still be used for storage by a local farm.

Shellbrook is blessed with three elevators. Any more than one in a small town is becoming a real rarity, and any at all is becoming rare.
Currently used as a grain elevator: no
