Shellbrook is a nice sized town about 40 km. west of Prince Albert on Highway 3. It seems to be a town unlikely to die in the near future.

Built in 1958 by the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, this elevator stands beside an annex that was built in 1953. This would suggest that this elevator is a replacement for an earlier built one. There is also a second, large annex that was added much later. The elevator is now in private hands.
Shellbrook is blessed with three elevators. Any more than one in a small town is becoming a real rarity, and any at all is becoming rare.
Currently used as a grain elevator: yes
