This large mural is a community effort. It is installed on the side of a business near the downtown area in Warkworth.
True to its name, the mural consists of dozens of sections, each depicting something unique to the area, be it sports teams, businesses, past accomplishments or notable local families. In addition, noteworthy events and accomplishments are listed on the outsides of the quilt.
The majority of the quilt squares were painted by local artist Gayle Crosmaz-Brown (GCB on the squares). The paint and materials were donated by Crosmaz Art Studios through their US suppliers.
The mural was entirely restored in 2007, after years of weather started to take its toll.
