This two-story brick building was erected in 1890 and is the oldest remaining brick structure in Oakland. It was built for E.J. Page as a drug store with doctor's offices on the upper story. The building is decorated with several brick "chimneys" with corbelled tops. These "chimneys" were missing at the time of the district's historic nomination and when the State of Oregon conducted a historic building inventory in 1976; they have since been restored. At the time of the historic nomination, the building served as Oakland's public library. Today, it is an antique store.
