"The Old Thomas County Courhouse was built in 1858 in the Greek Revival style by local architect John Wind as the centerpiece of Thomasville. The city grew around the Courthouse.

In 1888 it was remodeled in the Italianate style — including enclosing the porticos, removing the columns and installing decorative window hoods. The clock was added in 1919.

The final major change was the 1937 Courthouse Annex built in the Neo-Classical style which was designed by local architect Prince Jinright Sr. In 1970, Thomasville Landmarks sponsored a minor, but significant restoration, for the front ground-level entrance. It is currently undergoing cosmetic renovations."
