Lady Bowen Falls is very near the scenic boat wharf on Milford Sound. It is the only falls on the Sound which can be seen without taking a boat trip. The falls at 162 meters (531 feet) is the tallest on Milford Sound. The falls is named after Diamantina Bowen, wife of George Bowen, the fifth Governor of New Zealand.
