The public library of Aesch was founded in 1983. In 1984 it merged with the former high school library and moved to the current location in the high school building at Reinacherstrasse 3.
Starting with books only, in the 1990s the stock was extended with audio, video, games and software.
Yearly membership for adults is CHF 35 and covers books and journals, for other media there's a small additional fee. Local students can use it for free.
