Dead or alive, these are still rare. They manage to tread that fine line between ugly and beautiful, with their bulbous shapes at least making them quite eye-catching.

Found on a side road across from the airport in an industrial park south of Trail, BC, this truck came as somewhat of a surprise. In my life, I don't believe I've seen more than 2 or 3 Studebaker trucks, alive or dead. By the grille it's a 1941-1948. Studebaker made no cosmetic changes to their trucks from 1941 to 1948, so they all look the same. Couldn't find any nameplates, so we'll just call it a 1948.

The springs suggest it was a one ton.

This one looks like it's done all the hauling it's going to do in this lifetime.
