Malt Kiln House has been converted into a modern dwelling. The date stone above the door has recessed decoration typical of North Lancashire. Grade 2 listed building.

The lintel and mullioned windows are made of sandstone with the walls now painted and rendered.
Inside is a spice cupboard with BID 1688 inscribed on it.
The lower two initials on a dated stone, are usually the Christian names of the surname above.
The village is on the old turnpike between Kirkby Lonsdale and Carnforth hence the abundance of old buildings.
