NY0322 - USC&GS 'C 350' BM - Klamath County, OR - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey benchmark from 1943 after seeing it listed on a topography map as BM 4213. The disk is in very good condition considering there has been much grading and soil erosion in this area. The fenced mentioned in the datasheet no longer exist and the rocky cairn mentioned has been graded flat. There are some rocks surrounding the disk and a green metal post that helps in recovery.

THIS MARK IS ABOUT 1.1 MILE EAST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 66 AND 4.8 MILES NORTH ALONG THE OLD ROAD TO SPRAGUE RIVER FROM THE POST OFFICE AT DAIRY, KLAMATH COUNTY, SET IN THE TOP OF A ROCK OUTCROP, 136.0 FEET SOUTH OF A EAST-WEST FENCE, 38.0 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROAD, 7.0 FEET EAST OF A NORTH-SOUTH FENCE, NEAR A ROCK CAIRN.
