Integradas no circuito muralhado da antiga vila medieval. A porta de arco redondo, deve o seu nome a proximidade da igreja paroquial de S. Tiago. Torre gótica, de planta rectangular rematada com ameias piramidais. O acesso ao terraço é feito por escada interior.

"Misfortune Tower and Saint James Gate
Both incorporate the medieval castle walls. The gate got that name because it is close to the Parish chapel of saint james. It is a gothic, rectangular tower headed with pyramidal battlements. The entrance is made through the internal stair case."
