The trip across the Nevada desert can get really boring so having a place to stop and take a break to watch some trains pass is always a welcome diversion. There is plenty of parking along both sides of the tracks but no shade to speak of for when the days turn hot. But you are just blocks from any number of food and beverage outlets in the middle of Wells and there are other things to do and see in this small historic community.
