This NGS metal rodis located just off Lakeport Blvd and next to a utility pole in Klamath Falls, OR.

I recovered this NGS metal rod and cap from 1988 after seeing the orange carsonite witness post near it. It's near a utility pole SW 19 and datasheet info is acceptable for recovery. *NOTE* NGS coordinates on the datasheet for this station are off. My coordinates are very accurate for recovery.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1988 4.6 KM (2.85 MI) NORTHERLY ALONG THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD FROM THE STATION IN KLAMATH FALLS, A METAL ROD DRIVEN 2.1 METERS AND FLUSH WITH GROUND, 100.0 M (328.1 FT) SOUTHWEST OF THE NEAR RAIL, 16.7 M (54.8 FT) NORTHWEST OF THE EXTENDED CENTER OF A DRIVEWAY, 6.8 M (22.3 FT) NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF PELICAN ROAD, 1.1 M (3.6 FT) NORTH OF UTILITY POLE NUMBER SW 19, AND 0.3 M (1.0 FT) WEST OF A WITNESS POST, AND LEVEL WITH THE ROAD. NOTE--ACCESS TO THE DATUM POINT IS THROUGH A 5-INCH LOGO CAP.
