Visitors to the Inner Boat Basin within Crescent City Harbor will notice a number of plaques and dedication in this parking area. This includes a chainsaw carving of a mermaid by well-known chainsaw artist Ken Kaiser. This particular plaque within the boat basin is a memorial drinking fountain that contains a marble plaque with the following words:

I could find no information on Steve Williams online other than a Find A Grave headstone on their website. His name is also mentioned on a nearby memorial plaque dedicated by the commercial fishermens wives in 1971.
