Sole remaining station of the Thousand Islands Railway, originally the Gananoque & Rideau Railway. The name was changed in 1884, just 4 months after it opened. The Station was transferred to CN, then VIA Rail Canada in the 1970's.
Today, the station is unmanned, but the waiting room is opened when passengers await trains.
The Gananoque model rairoad club still uses a few of the rooms.
The building received a community volunteer-run clean-up in mid October 2012.
