Utilizing geothermal energy, solar power, ecologically friendly building materials and passive and active systems, the new Cebula Hall serves as the Engineering Department's home as a 'living' classroom. Certain vital systems and structures are transparent so mechanical engineers can view and analyze the use of materials and methodologies. Dynamically programmable solar panels on the top floor veranda provide a laboratory space for electrical engineering experiments.
Ground was broken in late summer 2011.
