This two story painted and red brick building is located at the northwest corner of Kansas Highway 7 and Prairie Street in Girard, Kansas.

The first story is brick, with the sidewalk covered by an an asphalt roof. There are three recessed bays with two single pane windows, a metal doorway, another recessed bay with the two single pane winodows, another metal doorway, and finally the last recessed bay with two single pane windows. The second story consists of six narrow, arched double paned windows with an arch detail around each window. The date "1884" appears in a shield and the name "Press Block" appears on an entablature beneath the shield. Finials are on either side ob the shield.
