Krupka is a town of tin, which has been mined locally for many years. The Starý Martin Adit is set in one of the most important old mines in the Krupka area.
The Starý Martin Adit opens the northwest part of the Lukáš vein, the longest tin ore vein in the Czech Republic and Central Europe. The oldest work dates back to the 14th century.
