The mill was build in 1901 for water pumping and was formerly located in Nordgeorgsfehn. 1922 the mill was sold, relocated to the current location in Großheide-Südcoldinne and refactured into a corn mill. The mill stopped working 1975 and is used as a museum.

Die Mühle stammt aus dem Jahr 1901 und wurde zunächst in Nordgeorgsfehn zum Wasserpumpen benutzt. 1922 wurde sie verkauft und an den derzeitigen Standort in Großheide-Südcoldinne transportiert. Dort wurde sie zur Kornmühle umgebaut und bis 1975 betrieben. Inzwischen ist sie ein Museum.
