I located this benchmark after seeing it listed on a topography map as BM 4510. The benchmark is in great shape although it was a little harder to find since it was located amongst much brush and not easily accessible. There are the letters 'PBM' spray painted on the boulder that this benchmark is monumented in.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1954 2 MI SE FROM INDIAN WELLS. 2.0 MILES SOUTHEAST ALONG A PAVED ROAD FROM THE INDIAN WELLS RANGER STATION, 0.2 MILE EAST OF VALENTINE CAVE ROAD, AT THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF A CURVE IN THE ROAD, IN THE TOP AND EAST SIDE OF A 4- BY 4-FOOT LAVA BOULDER MARKED BY WHITE PAINTED LETTERS PBM, 90 1/2 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROAD, 32 1/4 FEET SOUTH OF AN 18-INCH JUNIPER TREE, 2 FEET HIGHER THAN THE GROUND, AND ABOUT 1 FOOT LOWER THAN THE ROAD.
