Granger Community Cemetery

This cemetery began as a cluster of graves along pioneer trails. Eventually, the cemetery came to include burials of transcontinental railroad workers, area ranchers and townsfolk. Infant and child graves predominate, which is typical of early western cemeteries. The cemetery remained an unofficial burial place until the Town of Granger was incorporated in 1914 and began maintaining it as a community facility. Largely unused in recent years, the cemetery's last burial was in 1942. A 2011 historical study located thirty graves, eight of which were previously identified. The remainder are unmarked and unknown.
