Vale is an unincorporated community in Butte County, South Dakota, north of Sturgis on SD Highway 79. Its population was 136 at the 2010 census.

The town itself is located about a mile east of SD Highway 79 on Valley Township Road.

It has just a few businesses and a very nice city park on the east side of town.
