These pillars of interesting rock formations that stand about 100 feet high and cover an area roughly five miles long and two miles wide. The formations are named because they are reminiscent of Roman ruins.

The pillars are accessible by taking U.S. Highway 95 to the tiny community of Rome. Take the well-maintained road across from the Rome store, follow it roughly northwest for about 2 miles, turn right, then left. You should see the formations at this point.
