Located about 400 feet NW of the obvious microwave tower, which is located on the mountain top 1.2 miles east of Belle Campground, Joshua Tree National Park, California. It is a long, arduous hike from the campground to get to it. There is a paved road that leads to the site, but it is usually gated.
