The Yancey County Courthouse registered as #79001767 is now the Burnsville NC Town Hall. A new courthouse was built at the southeast corner of the town square in 1968.

The Yancey County Courthouse registered as #79001767 was built in 1908. Its key feature is the classical revival of Palladian style architecture. This features the pillars and symmetry shown in the old courthouse.
