DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1935: 0.5 MI S FROM HOGAN.
0.5 MILE SOUTH ALONG THE MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD FROM THE STATION AT HOGAN, IRON COUNTY, AT POLE 96/41-1/2, AT A CONCRETE CULVERT, AND IN THE CENTER OF THE TOP OF THE WEST HEADWALL. A STANDARD MONEL-METAL RIVET.

This benchmark is in the top of a concrete culvert that was built in 1920. The year the culvert was constructed is stamped in the front of the culvert. That was the clue that told us that the benchmark was still there. Sure enough, it was!
