This anchor is so called Wooden Stock Anchor. The iron part of it seems to be original, dating back perhaps to the sieges of Louisbourg in 1745 or 1758. The wooden part is definitely a modern reproduction. The central shank is very long, about 4 meters (12 feet) and the whole anchor seems to be very heavy.
The anchor is pre-Admiralty Pattern, "A.P.", or simply "Admiralty", and also known as "Fisherman", the most familiar among non-sailors.
No information was found about this anchor.
