Snøhetta is the highest mountain of Dovrefjell range. For a long time it has been considered to be the highest mountain of Norway. The mountain has four summits: Stortoppen (the highest), Midttoppen, Hettpiggen and Vesttoppen. At Stortoppen there is a chimney-like structure: a transmitter originally built for military purposes, now used by civilians.
There are marked DNT trails from Reinheim, Snøheim, and Åmotdalshytta.
