Most of the art selected for Terminal B, dedicated in 2011, was chosen to reflect the regional aspects of this area. It is at the top of the center escalator, enroute to the post security area. The birds are in silouette embedded into the scape.

The Sacramento Valley is part of the Pacific Flyway. Some of the birds are migratory. Others, such as the Great Blue Heron, are Delta birds. The quail is the California state bird.
